entrance of the town wall back into Dubrovnik after a short rest on
board Silver Cloud. The original protection to the harbor had been
damaged in the 1669 earthquake but not by Serbians. One objective was
to document the unknown (by me) "Croatian Jewish" hangings for future
research. Also documented is proof that Dubrovnik sits on the
Dalmatian Coast and to show that the masses and the rich and famous
enjoy the area. I also wanted to provide justification for not eating
on shore. It just seemed not appropriate to dine at a restaurant whose
actual name is, "It's my fault."
We're at sea today en route Taormina. The bottom of the boot of Italy
is visible in the distance, and lots of new Silversea guests are
asking me questions about the ship. I (and they) are having a super
time....
